Jack Wilfred Denholtz, 92, of Palm Beach, Fla., died June 24, 2017. He was born in Newark.

A real estate developer, Mr. Denholtz established what has now become the 66th year of Denholtz Associates, where he was a developer of single-family homes, industrial and office parks, and rental housing for the middle class.

He graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark. At the age of 16 he attended Bucknell University, from which he graduated with a CPA degree.

He served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces.

He was a founding member of what was known as the YM-YWHA in West Orange. His passion for medical care of the elderly led him to 30 years of working with NJ hospital systems and a place on the board of MorseLife Health System in West Palm Beach. He offered his expertise to other institutions and was past president of the Falls Country Club and of his residential condominium.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley; his daughter, Susan Denholtz of Florham Park; two sons, Steven (Lisa) of Oceanport and Stewart of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a sister, Rhoda Denholtz of Short Hills; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 28 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Rileysdance.org, an organ donor program that is part of the NJ Sharing Network Foundation.
