Jacob Cohen

Jacob Cohen, 98, of West Orange died July 25, 2018. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, he lived in Jerusalem, Summit, and Springfield before moving to West Orange in 2011.

Mr. Cohen was a salesman in South Africa, and later a clerk at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark.

He was a member of several organizations, notably the Lawn Bowling Association in South Africa, and Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael in Springfield. He was also active in the YM-YWHA of Union County, Union, for many years.

Predeceased by his wife, Miriam, he is survived by two sons, Morris (Adriana) of New York City and Norman of Union City; and two
grandchildren.

Services were held July 29 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
