Jacob Dubrovsky

Jacob “Jack” Dubrovsky, 93, of Long Branch died Jan. 30, 2018. Born in Boston, he spent his childhood in Dorchester, Mass., before moving to Farmingdale. He later lived in Rumson before moving to Long Branch in 2005.

At various times, Mr. Dubrovsky owned a tire business, a chain of gas stations, and a company that imported chicken drinkers from Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael in Israel.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three sons, Richard of Howell, Steven of Bethel, N.Y., and Benjamin of Lincoln, Mass.; three stepchildren, Jaymi Garvett of Seattle, Glenn Davison of Bernardsville, and Melissa Papa of Clark; 14 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 1 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Yemin Orde, 4340 East-West Hwy, Ste. 202, Bethesda, MD 20814.
