Susan and Mitch Jacobsen of Roseland announce the engagement of their son, Ryan Peter, to Christine Kovach, daughter of Kathryn and Michael Kovach of Plains, Pa.

Mr. Jacobsen graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor of arts degree in theatre arts. He is a project manager for an events planning company in Manhattan.

Ms. Kovach also graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor of arts degree in theatre arts.

A fall 2012 wedding is planned.
