The maternal grandparents are Harriet Naggar of Scotch Plains and Max Naggar of Nahariya, Israel. The paternal grandmother is Thomasine Barnes of Easton, Ohio. Jacoby Max is named, in Ashkenazi tradition, in memory of his maternal great-grandfather Irving Max and, in Sephardic tradition, in honor of his maternal grandfather.
He joins a brother, Ryan.
