Jacques Pliner, 92, of Short Hills died Jan. 4, 2012. He was born in Paris.
Mr. Pliner served in the French Army during World War II. After the war, he came to the United States and became a broadcast engineer at the United Nations.
Predeceased by his wife of nearly 60 years, Mariette, in 2010, he is survived by twin daughters, Vivian Pliner de Rivero of New York and Lillian F. Pliner of Short Hills, and two granddaughters.
Services were held Jan. 8 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
