Janice Tucker

Janice Carol Tucker, 88, of Ewing died April 9, 2017. Born in Irvington, she also lived in Amarillo, Texas, and San Diego before relocating to Lyons, Kansas. She and her husband had also built a home in Sterling, Kansas.

Mrs. Tucker had worked as a medical technician. She also assisted in her husband’s business ventures, operating an antique store, a Radio Shack, and a television repair business for many years in Lyons. She retired in 1974.

She attended Southwestern Presbyterian College in Memphis, Tenn., and graduated with a bachelor of science in medical technology from University of Tennessee.

Predeceased by her husband, Robert, she is survived by two sons, Herbert (Barbara Anderson) and Brian (Peter Matwijcow), and a granddaughter.

Services were held April 13 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood House, Ewing.
