JCC MetroWest partners on pre-Passover food drive
JCC Metrowest is partnering with Caring Hearts of NJ Home Care for a Passover Food Drive to benefit the West Orange Food Pantry.
In preparation of Passover, all chametz, or leavened foods, are removed from the home before the morning of the First Passover Seder, which falls on April 14. Please consider donating your chametz to this JCC MetroWest Mitzvah Moment! In partnership with Caring Hearts of New Jersey Home Care we are asking our neighbors to donate food (chametz and other) to the West Orange Food Pantry, which depends on donations of food and money to operate and provide healthy meals to people in our community.
Donations must be unopened packages, jars, and cans of non-perishable foods.
Beginning April 1, bins will be set up at the JCC MetroWest, Caring Hearts of New Jersey Home Care, West Orange Town Hall and Public Library and many more places around West Orange and neighboring towns (see below for a complete list). Final date for dropping off food at one of these locations is April 10. All food will be delivered to the West Orange Food Pantry at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on April 11th.
