Jerome Cohen
Jerome Cohen, DDS, 85, of Maplewood, formerly of Berkeley Heights, died June 22, 2015. He was born in Newark.
Dr. Cohen was a dentist with a 40-year practice in Berkeley Heights, from which he retired in 2001.
He graduated from Rutgers University and New York University School of Dentistry.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a past president of B’nai B’rith and the Board of Health in Berkeley Heights. He also served on the board of directors at Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights, and was active with the United Jewish Appeal of Greater MetroWest.
Predeceased by his wife, Audrey Ann (Brucker), he is survived by his daughter, Debbie Landau of Bridgewater; two sons, Larry (Judy) of Park City, Utah, and David (Heidi) of Berkeley Heights; and six grandchildren.
Services were held June 24 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Manhattan Hematology Oncology Research Foundation, 157 E. 32nd St., New York, NY 10016.
