Jerome “Jerry” Zucker, 88, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died Nov. 13, 2019. Born in Newark, he and his wife raised their family in Union. They moved to Boynton Beach in 1999.
Mr. Zucker worked in the dry-cleaning industry for many years. Later in his career, he was involved in sales and customer service.
He was very active in Temple Israel of Union, serving as a board member; committee co-chair of the House and Bingo committees; and men’s club president. In addition, he was a past president of several chapters of B’nai B’rith. After moving to Florida, he became involved in COPS, the Condo Association at Banyon Springs, and various clubs and organization.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Siegel); his daughter, Marcy (Bruce) Cortez of Freehold; two sons, Douglas (Lori) of Livingston and Scott (Irene) of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 15 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
