Jerrold Patz
Jerrold Patz, 65, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Feb. 17, 2012.
Mr. Patz was a researcher in the 1960s on the Israeli staff of Encyclopedia Judaica in preparation for its publication. For many years he taught at the Boston Latin School and later served as director of computer services for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
He is survived by his wife, Naimah Zakaria; two brothers, Rabbi Norman of North Caldwell and Stan of New York City; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were private; a memorial service will be held March 11. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish National Fund (for tree planting) or the Rabbi Emeritus Good Works Fund of Temple Sholom of West Essex, Cedar Grove.
