‘Jewish arts festival’ in Parsippany

ADATH SHALOM CONGREGATION will host a Jewish Arts Festival from Thursday, Jan. 23, through Sunday, Jan. 26, featuring artist Mordechai Rosenstein and The Bible Players, a Torah comedy improvisational team.

The festival begins with a “Coloring and Cabernet Lunch” at noon on Thursday, Jan. 23. That day Rosenstein, who is known for his vibrant Hebrew calligraphy, will be creating a custom work of art for Adath Shalom and visitors will be able to add their own brush strokes from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m.

The festival continues on Shabbat. On Friday evening Rosenstein will deliver a dvar Torah and on Shabbat day The Bible Players will lead an interactive prayer experience. They will perform with Rosenstein on Saturday night in a stand-up comedy routine about being Jewish in America, visiting Israel, and celebrating holidays.

The cost for the entire festival is $36 per person, student discounts available. For information, contact Maxine Moses at mxmoses.adathshalom@gmail.com or call 973-539-4440.
