Jewish Labor Committee invites the community to its Labor Seder

The annual New Jersey Labor Seder will take place at the office of the SEIU 32BJ union in Newark on April 8. For nearly 25 years, the Labor Seders in New Jersey have brought together leaders from the organized Jewish community and organized labor throughout the state to celebrate a seder and explore the Passover themes of workers’ rights, economic justice, opposition to oppression, self-help and mutual aid, and welcoming the stranger.

The seder is free, and will be both in person and on Zoom. In-person participants will have a glatt kosher seder dinner. It’s organized by the Jewish Labor Committee in collaboration with the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ and is co-sponsored by the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, and New Jersey SEIU 32BJ.
