JFS Central NJ gala is December 17
Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey will hold its annual gala dinner on Tuesday, December 17, at 6 p.m., at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston.
The dinner is the main fundraiser that supports JFS Central NJ’s Mental Health, Homecare, Keeping Older Adults Safe, and Food Insecurity programs. They all serve the Union County community.
Paul Glinn of Woodhaven Lumber will receive the Lilly K. Gottlieb award; Bracha Schechter, Ora Sheinson, and Tara Speyer, all of Tomchei Shabbos of Elizabeth, Hillside, and Springfield, are the Miriam S. Karch awardees; Robin Plattman will get the Ruth Bilenker award for outstanding service; Lourdes Leon, vice chair of the Union County Board of County Commissioners is the Community Service awardee; Rabbi Victor S. Appell of Temple Emanu-El, Westfield will receive the Rabbinic Leadership award; and the Westfield Foundation, will be the Community Partner awardee.
