JFS METROWEST NJ is offering a continuing education conference “Unlocking Suicidal Secrets: New Thoughts on Old Problems in Suicide Prevention” on Thursday, March 5, 2020, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Eisenhower Corporate Campus in Livingston. The conference features Dr. Shawn Shea, psychiatrist, author, and creator of the CASE approach to suicide prevention.
This is an intermediate level conference appropriate for psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, and other mental health
“Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ knows that Suicide Prevention, Assessment, and Treatment planning are key to successful outcomes for many of our clients,” said Sara Mendez-Emma, director of clinical services. “We cannot ignore the urgency to normalize mental health and to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.”
This program is funded by the Eric Eliezer Levenson Foundation for Hope, The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey, and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
The cost to attend is $100 per person by March 4. The program includes a certificate of completion and kosher breakfast and lunch.
