JFS MetroWest offers free parenting series
Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ is continuing its free parenting series, the Parent Academy, for parents of children of all ages, throughout the school year. The next workshop, “Teens Under Pressure,” on Zoom, on Monday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m., will focus on the pressures teens face today, including perfectionism, problems with self-esteem, academic achievements, and peer pressure. The goal is to empower parents by teaching them practical strategies to help their teens build resilience and use skills for independent, emotionally healthy development. The workshop will explore what parents can do to strengthen their relationships with their teens and support them through their teenage years.
It’s facilitated by Kristin Dunne, LCSW, a JFS clinician, who has been working with children and families for more than 15 years. For more information, go to www.jfsmetrowest.org/parentacademy.
