JFS MetroWest spring support groups

The Jewish Family Service of Metro-West New Jersey is running several groups online.

“A Journey Through Grief” is an eight-session online bereavement group for older adults who have lost a spouse or significant other. It starts on Thursday April 22, at 1 p.m. For registration, email Amanda Kielbania at akielbania@jfsmetrowest.org or call (973) 637-1712.

“Happily Even After: Beyond Separation & Divorce,” an online divorce support group, starts on Tuesday, April 27, at 7 p.m. Email Daphne Berkovits at dberkovits@jfsmetrowest.org or call her at (973) 637-1758.

There is a fee for these two groups; most major insurances are accepted.

The free monthly Senior Support Group, which also is online, aims to help manage isolation and distance during the pandemic. It meets the first Monday of the month at 10 a.m. Email Andrea Olitzky at aolitzky@jfsmetrowest.org or call her at (973) 765-9050, ext. 1723.

“Playgroup with a Purpose” is a free online weekly group for parents with their newborns to 16-month-olds; it offers them the opportunity to meet each other. It’s in collaboration with Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel. It’s on Fridays at 10 a.m. For information, email Blair Biersbach at bbiersbach@jfsmetrowest.org.
