The Jewish Family Service of Central NJ will celebrate Older Adult & National Community Action Month by participating in a community walk on May 24 at 10 a.m. It’s at the Elizabeth River Trail from South Broad Street, across from the library, to Pearl Street and back. The walk is sponsored by Lifelong Elizabeth and Partners. The rain date is May 25.
Lifelong Elizabeth’s partners include AARP Elizabeth Chapter 5439, the City of Elizabeth, Elizabeth Education Association, Elizabeth Police Department, Elizabeth Public Library, Elizabeth Public Schools, Gateway Family YMCA, Groundwork Elizabeth, Housing Authority City of Elizabeth, Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, Rutgers Cooperative Extension, Shaping Elizabeth, Trinitas Regional Medical Center – RWJBarnabas Health.
There will be giveaways, refreshments, and a raffle.
Lifelong Elizabeth is a Grotta Fund for Senior Care-funded program through the Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, a nonprofit, nonsectarian health and human services agency serving over 10,000 people from Union County every year.
