JFSCNJ offers support for widowers

Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey offers a five-session support group for widows and widowers on Thursdays, beginning January 9. Nancy Rosenthal, LCSW, a JFSCNJ therapist will lead the sessions, which will start at 11 a.m. in the Lavy House at Temple Emanu-El in Westfield.

The support group will explore how grief for the loss of a spouse or partner impacts our daily lives. According to Ms. Rosenthal, “The group will provide a safe environment to share feelings and gain support while learning to cope with the loss of a spouse or partner.”

Parking is in the Temple Emanu-El lot. The program is funded by the Lavy House and the Standish Foundation. To register, email nrosenthal@jfscentralnj.org or call (908) 352-8375, ext. 309.
