Jewish Family of Service of Central NJ, a nonsectarian health and social service agency serving Union County, is partnering with the Trinitas Regional Medical Center’s Institute for Dialectical Behavior Therapy Institute for a six-week Zoom group for caregivers. The program, “Self-Care for Caregivers,” begins on November 9 at 11 a.m. and continues on November 16, 23, 30, December 7 and 14. Masha Belova of Trinitas and Alyssa Reiner of JFSCNJ are the facilitators.

According to Ms. Reiner, the program will help participants “learn how to take care of yourself while taking care of others utilizing research-based dialectical behavior therapy skills to improve your life as a caregiver.” The program will focus on mindfulness, practical skills for the most difficult aspects of communication, crisis management, and more.
