Jimmy Guterman, 53, of Brookline, Mass., died July 25, 2016. He was born in Bayonne, where he spent his early years, and also had lived in South Orange.
Mr. Guterman was editor in chief of in-house newspapers of many American corporations and a principal speaker at TED conferences throughout the country. He was a writer of many books and commentary on the modern music scene.
He was a graduate of University of Pennsylvania.
Predeceased by his father, Michael Guterman, he is survived by his wife, Jane; his son, Eli; two daughters, Lydia and Grace; a brother, John Guterman of Maplewood; and his parents, Deanna and Ed Schey of West Orange.
Services were held July 31 with arrangements by Levine Jewish Chapels, Brookline.
