JNF’s breakfast for Israel in Livingston
About 300 people met at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston for the Jewish National Fund-USA’s annual Breakfast for Israel on March 6.
Alon Wald, the head of marketing and operations at Ammunition Hill National Heritage Center in Israel, which is supported by JNF-USA, was the keynote speaker. He talked about his personal connection to the museum, which was the site of the battle that led to the reunification of Jerusalem in the Six-Day War and where his father, Captain Rami Wald, was killed in action.
Tali Tzour-Avner, JNF-USA’s chief of staff in Israel, and local lay leaders discussed the organization’s Israel Resilience Campaign. That initiative has supported the evacuation and relocation of tens of thousands of residents in Israel’s south while providing thousands more with housing, food, clothing, and other supplies.
