Joan Friedland
Joan Friedland (Joan Pearl Gering), 94, of Lake Worth, Fla., died March 12, 2020. She lived in Elizabeth, Westfield, and Scotch Plains before moving to Florida.
Mrs. Friedland attended George Washington University before her marriage.
She was very active in Hadassah and UJA in her younger years and attained Lion of Judah status.
Predeceased by her husband, Frank, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Doug) Schwartz and Amy (Bob) Friedland; her son, James (Jean); and two grandsons.
Services were held March 15 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to UJA or Hillel at the college or university of one’s choice.
