John M. Barnett
John M. Barnett, 74, of Denville died Jan. 29, 2016. Born in New York City, he lived there and in Staten Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Mountain Lakes for 28 years before moving to Denville in 2005.
Mr. Barnett was a vice president for Springs Mills, a textile manufacturer, working at their New York City headquarters for almost 25 years.
He held a BA from Siena College, Albany, NY. He received an Executive MBA from Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.
A fine artist working in pastels and charcoals, his work has been displayed at various art exhibitions, including at the Morris County Art Association and the Wilson School in Mountain Lakes.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (Norman) of Denville; his daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Hedrick of Summit; his son, Zachary (partner Darrin Banks) of Los Angeles; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 1 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Whippany.
