Joseph Nemiroff
Joseph Nemiroff, 95, of Mountainside died Aug. 13, 2018. He was born in the Bronx and raised his family in Hillside until 1978, when he relocated to Mountainside. He spent winters in Florida for the past 10 years.
Mr. Nemiroff served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945 before starting his 36-year career at Flying Tigers as lead aircraft mechanic.
An avid photographer, he also enjoyed building model aircraft.
Predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Mary, in 2000, he is survived by his two sons, Howard (Carole) of Basking Ridge and Kenneth (Judy) of Union; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 15 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
