Karen Levine
Karen Levine, 78, of Springfield died May 9, 2019. Born in Orange, she was a longtime resident of Springfield.
Mrs. Levine was an educator for the Dunellen Board of Education for 25 years, where she taught high school mathematics and special education classes. She also worked at Temple Emanu-El of Westfield for 24 years, and at various synagogue religious schools.
She earned a B.A. degree in education from Rutgers University, and an M.A. in education and special education from Kean University.
Predeceased by her husband, Theodore, she is survived by her daughter, Ilaina Levine (Michael Lowey) of Springfield; her son, Harold (Shari) Levine of Westfield, Ind.; two sisters, Norma Wolfowitz of Union and Irene Goldie-Petras of Union; and three grandchildren.
Services were held May 12 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
