Kicking off Federation MetroWest’s 100th birthday
The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest is celebrating its centennial, and it invites the community to kick off this historic milestone with a production featuring songs from the award-winning “Fiddler on the Roof” in Yiddish. The celebration, showcasing company members from the long-running Off-Broadway show by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, is on Wednesday, October 11, at 7:30 p.m., at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston.
“It is my privilege to invite members of our community to join in the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest New Jersey’s Centennial Opening Event: An Evening of Celebration,” Jane Wilf, Federation’s centennial chair, said. “It is our hope that this event will provide us with the opportunity to appreciate the accomplishments of our federation — both locally and globally — while looking towards our future with optimism and hope. The Centennial Opening Event is one component of the Federation’s year-long, multi-initiative effort intended to reaffirm our commitment to fostering a thriving and inclusive Jewish community for the next hundred years and beyond.”
