Leah Weintraub
Leah Weintraub, 88, of Lakewood died Jan. 10, 2011. Born and raised in Poland, she was a Holocaust survivor who lost her entire family — including four sisters and a brother — to the Nazis. She came to America in 1950 and settled with her husband in Lakewood.
Mrs. Weintraub worked for many years in retail department stores, the last one being Kings Dept. Store in Lakewood. She also worked with her husband on their poultry farm.
She was a longtime member of Congregation Sons of Israel and AMIT.
Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Solomon, in 2000, she is survived by two sons, Morris of East Hampton, NY, and Arthur of Livingston; and a granddaughter.
Services were held Jan. 11 with arrangements by Belkoff Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood. Memorial contributions may be made to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC.
