Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey offers “Cancer 101: Learn how cancer develops, screening guidelines and lifestyle factors to help reduce risk for certain cancers,” on Tuesday, July 6, at 11 a.m., on Zoom. Evelyn Fuertes, the community cancer control specialist at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, will lead the free program. Ms. Fuertes, who is bilingual, also is a registered nutrition and dietetic technician. Her mission is to empower people to advocate for their health.

The program is funded by the Lavy House Senior Resource Center and the Standish Foundation. Everyone who registers and attends will be entered for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card.
