Leonard Barnstone
Leonard Barnstone, 75, died Nov. 19, 2011. Born in Portland Maine, he lived in Morris Township for the past 46 years.
Mr. Barnstone was a retired chemical engineer for Exxon. An avid tennis player, woodworker, and jazz musician and aficionado, he graduated from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute and Cornell University, where he served on the advisory board of the engineering school.
He was a board member of the Allegro School in Cedar Knolls and the Exxon Mobil Annuitant’s Club and held the highest technical level at Exxon Engineering.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Leah (Meyerson); two daughters, Renee Pinczes of Atlanta, Lisa Barnstone of New York City, and Judy Barnstone of Albuquerque, NM; a brother, Myron; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 22 at Temple B’nai Or, Morristown, with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Dover. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carol G. Simon Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital or Atlantic Hospice.
