Last month, the Temple B’nai Abraham Social Action Committee asked its congregants to contribute a pan of meatless baked ziti to ease the food insecurity faced by its Essex County neighbors. The Livingston congregation generously donated dozens of prepared ziti dishes. Nick Santelli of Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors picked the meals up from the synagogue and delivered them to neighbors in need in Livingston and Newark. Janet Penn and Ruth Ross, co-chairs of the TBA social action committee, steward these projects through the year. For information, go to tbanj.org.
