NJ Attorney General Matt Platkin told the crowd at the October 8 rally that while there is no specific threat to synagogues, in an abundance of caution, NJ law enforcement was deploying additional security at houses of worship that possibly could be targets of terrorism.
Some 2,200 people stand in solidarity with Israel during a community gathering organized by the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ. The rally, held Sunday night, October 8, at Temple B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills, was attended by many political leaders and dozens of clergy members from synagogues in Essex, Morris, Union, Sussex, and Middlesex counties that are part of the Greater MetroWest region.
