Louis Dultz
Louis Dultz, 80, of Springfield and Boynton Beach, Fla., died May 18, 2011. Born in Newark, he resided in Springfield for over 40 years.
Mr. Dultz began his career as an educator in the Newark school system at Weequahic High School, where he served as director of its Adult School. From there, he continued as chairman of the Science Department at Barringer High School until his retirement in 1991.
He earned his BS from Rutgers College and his MA in education from Montclair State University.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was the past president of the Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael men’s club, Springfield; the financial secretary of the Odd Fellows; and a member of the Jewish War Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; his daughter, Brenda Cohen of Springfield; two sons, Steven of Chester and Richard of Berkeley Heights; two brothers, Norman of South Orange and Harvey of Edison; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held May 20 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Birthright Israel Foundation, New York, NY.
