Manalapan JCC convenes cross-agency team
To better serve the Jewish community in western Monmouth County, the Manalapan JCC has convened a new body representing a host of area institutions.
The Western Monmouth County Joint Programming Committee — a brainchild of the JCC of Western Monmouth County that comprises about 25 agencies — will enable the organizations to pool their resources and offer additional programs to Jewish families. Participating groups include day schools, congregations, and beneficiary agencies of the Jewish Federation of Monmouth County.
“This is a great opportunity for all of us to work together and grow the Jewish community. There are endless possibilities for this committee to increase programming, and forming this group is a major step in the right direction,” said JCCWM program director Ian Feibelman. The committee will look to increase programming for youth, teens, 20-somethings, singles, young families, couples, and seniors, said Feibelman.
By developing the committee, the agencies “are poised to strengthen the greater Jewish community by networking resources, reinforcing Jewish values, and providing enrichment programming for its constituents,” said Linda Glickstein, director of admissions and marketing at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Monmouth County in Marlboro.
