Marcia Roseman
Marcia Roseman (Heller), 82, of Needham Heights, Mass., died Aug. 23, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn and later moved to Rockaway.
Mrs. Roseman was a speech pathologist, working with the Visiting Nurse Association and consulting privately. Her practice focused on children and adults recovery from aphasia. She also had worked for Drew Chemical for several years.
She graduated from Brooklyn College in 1956 and pursued post-graduate study at Penn State University. She later earned a master’s degree from Seton Hall University in speech pathology.
She volunteered as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) and was very active in her synagogue, Temple Shalom, Succasunna. She performed in community shows and with her synagogue’s choir.
She is survived by her husband, Irwin, whom she married in 1958; her son, Lawrence (Mezan); two daughters, Mindy (Vincent) and Diane (Steven); a sister, Melita; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 29 with arrangements by Star of David Memorial Chapel, West Babylon, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to AIM at Melanoma Foundation.
