The American Jewish Committee’s New Jersey region welcomed Mark Peroff of West Orange as its new metro region president. Mr. Peroff, who has been a member of the group’s board for several years, succeeds immediate past president Ed Israelow of Westfield, who has served since 2018.
Mr. Peroff begins his presidency at an exciting time for AJC New Jersey. The region is concluding a strategic visioning process, which he has led. It hopes to boost AJC New Jersey as a premier organization addressing Jewish and pro-Israel advocacy, combating anti-Semitism, and promoting intergroup relations in the state.
Rabbi David C. Levy is AJC New Jersey’s regional director. “I have come to know Mark, and his wife Linda, quite well as he has served on our board, and I could not feel more blessed to have him as a leadership partner during this critical time for our organization and our Jewish people,” Rabbi Levy said. “There remains much to be to done to accomplish the organization’s missions on a local, state, national, and international level, and I eagerly look forward to the challenge,” Mr. Peroff said.
He’s a partner at the law firm Peroff Saunders, and a seasoned intellectual property attorney with more than 25 years of experience helping clients protect their intellectual property in the United States and throughout the world.
A formal celebration of Mr. Peroff’s new role will take place at the AJC Metro New Jersey’s 75th anniversary gala, set for December 2, at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Short Hills. For information, email Danielle Cohen Schrager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
