Marvin Leon Silverstein
Marvin Leon Silverstein, 73, of New Hope, Pa., died Dec. 2, 2010. Born in Trenton and raised in Newark, he lived for many years in Chatham and Lambertville.
Mr. Silverstein’s lifelong love of cars and trucks led him to a career restoring antique toys and the creation of many custom-built toy trucks. He and his stepson, Avi Jerchower, were owners and operators of New Era Toys.
He was a graduate of Irvington Technical High School.
He was a former member of the Studebaker Drivers Club, Chatham Squires Car Club, and most recently The Road Angels of Doylestown, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Fran (Selednick); two stepsons, Avi and Seth Jerchower; two sisters, Evelyn Simpson of Mountain Lakes and Myrna Friedman of Marshall’s Creek, Pa.; and a granddaughter.
Arrangements were handled by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing.
