Melvin Sherlis
Melvin Sherlis, 76, of Ocean Township died Dec. 9, 2012. He was born in Philadelphia, where he lived for 21 years before moving to Ocean Township 51 years ago.
Mr. Sherlis was the owner of Yesteryear, an antiques and collectibles business for 25 years before he retired 15 years ago.
He was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bette; his son, Stuart (Gigliola) of Wall; his daughter, Michele (Dan) Langdon of Lincroft; two sisters, Sheila Alper of El Paso, Texas, and Estelle Pinkus of Atlantic City; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 13 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
