Michael Weiss
Michael Edward Weiss, 70, of North Brunswick died Dec. 22, 2017. Born in the Bronx, he lived in the Fords section of Woodbridge Township and Perth Amboy during his childhood years.
Mr. Weiss worked in retail pharmacy as a registered pharmacist for his entire 40-year career. He was owner and chief pharmacist of North Brunswick Pharmacy from 1983 to 1993 and worked for several other pharmacies over the years.
He graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1965 and received a B.Sc. degree in pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1970.
He served for several years as chair of the North Brunswick Township Traffic Safety Committee, as president of the North Brunswick Township High School Band Parents Association, and most recently as administrative vice president of Congregation B’nai Tikvah in North Brunswick, among several other positions. He was also an associate member of Raritan Valley Hadassah and held a brown belt in judo.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet; three sons, Jonathan (Irene), Steven (Nicole), and David; a sister, Marilyn; his mother-in-law, Rosalyn Cooper; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 24 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick.
Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation B’nai Tikvah or Raritan Valley Hadassah.
