Milton J. Ontell

Milton J. Ontell, 94, of Teaneck died Nov. 6, 2010. Born in Newark, he lived there and in Kearny before moving to Livingston for 34 years and later Monroe Township.

Mr. Ontell, a graduate of Rutgers Law School, practiced law in Newark and then Maplewood.

An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the 24th Infantry Division in New Guinea and the Philippines.

He was a former officer of Temple Beth Shalom of Livingston and formed the Community Lodge #125, Knights of Pythias, in Monroe, where he was a deputy grand chancellor.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris; two sons, Jeffrey L. and Joel I.; a daughter, Lisa R.; and two grandsons.

Services were held Nov. 8 with arrangements by Eden Memorial Chapels, Fort Lee.
