Milton Mitnick
Milton Mitnick, 88, of Hackensack died Aug. 11, 2011. Born in Newark, he was a longtime resident of Cranford before moving to Hackensack 12 years ago.
Mr. Mitnick was the owner of Modern Foam Furniture, which was housed in Newark until the Newark Riots in 1967, when it moved to Union. He was also in carpet sales with Sandler and Worth Carpets.
He was a graduate of Weequahic High School in Newark.
He served in the Signal Corps of the U.S. Army during World War II.
Predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Evelyn, he is survived by a daughter, Patty Baumann of Hillsdale; a son, Marc of Pine Brook; and three granddaughters.
Services were held Aug. 14 with arrangements by Plaza Jewish Community Chapel, Manhattan.
