Volunteers from Congregation Israel in Springfield who participate in Jewish Family Service of Central New Jersey’s monthly “Adopt-A-Holocaust Survivor Initiative” met at the home of Seth and Rivki Huttel to prepare mishloach manot for Purim. The program included making Purim projects as well. Volunteers for the monthly Holocaust program visit and deliver treats to their paired survivors.

Seth Huttel, a JFSCNJ board member, spearheaded the Adopt-A-Holocaust Survivor program in December. Debbie Rosenwein, JFSCNJ’s director of Holocaust programs, and a member of Congregation Israel, attended the intergenerational program.
