Morris County menorah lightings

Chabad of SE Morris County invites the community to its annual Chanukah menorah lighting ceremonies in Madison, Chatham, Harding, Florham Park, East Hanover, and Green Village. Music, hot refreshments, and prizes for the children will accompany each lighting. The town mayors and local town officials will be at most lightings.

The Madison lighting is on Sunday, November 28, the first night of Chanukah, at 5 p.m., across the street from the Hartley Dodge Memorial building on Kings Road at the Madison Train Station. Chatham’s lighting is on November 28, at 7 p.m., at the gazebo in Firehouse Plaza on Fairmount Ave. The Harding lighting will be on Monday, November 29, at 6 p.m., in Memorial Park on Village Road. The Florham Park lighting is on Tuesday, November 30, at 6 p.m., in front of the gazebo at 111 Ridgedale Ave. The East Hanover lighting is set for Wednesday, December 1, at 6 p.m., in front of Town Hall at 411 Ridgedale Ave. The inaugural Green Village lighting will take place on Thursday, December 2, at 6 p.m., in the Green Village Triangle across from the Green Village Fire Department.

“The menorah represents the light and strength that we need to overcome the challenges we encounter in our everyday lives. Every person is like a candle, we each have the ability to brighten the world,” Rabbi Shalom Lubin, the Chabad Center’s director, said.
