Morristown Jewish Center marks Yom HaZikaron

Dan Almagor of Hillsborough lead the Morristown Jewish Center’s Yom HaZikaron online ceremony. Mr. Almagor is a friend of Miriam Loew, the shul’s religious school director. MJC congregants and friends honored 32 fallen Israeli heroes by reading their names and lighting candles.

Roni Herzenstein, the soldier shown below, was a dear friend of Dan Almagor, who named his son, Ronnie Almagor, after him. Dan Almagor also talked about his experience as a young soldier in the Battle of Tel Saki, one of the fiercest battles of the Yom Kippur War.
