Muriel Rubin
Muriel Worth Rubin, 92, a longtime resident of Whippany and South Orange, died Feb. 5, 2014.
Mrs. Rubin was a primary school teacher for 40 years, teaching in Scranton, Pa., and at the Washington School in West Orange. She retired and became a teacher of English as a Second Language to Russian immigrants.
She was an avid reader and writer of poetry.
She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie R. (Michael) Francis and Lisa R. Freda; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 7 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
