Natalya (Natasha) Aleksandrova, 77, of Livingston died April 8, 2020. Born in Novosibirsk, Russia, she was the second child of a Jewish family who escaped to Siberia after the German invasion into the Soviet Union. The family returned to their home city of Kharkov, Ukraine, in 1944. She immigrated to the United States in 1992.
Mrs. Aleksandrova was a children’s piano teacher for 30 years. After coming to the U.S., she worked in a hospital kitchen to help her son complete medical school.
She is survived by her son, Alexander (Ellie) Doctoroff; a brother, Leonid Aleksandrov; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held April 13 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
