Nettie Amdurer

Nettie Amdurer, 93, of Danville, Pa., died Oct. 30, 2012. Born in New York, she lived in South Orange for 15 years before moving to Danville 12 years ago.

Mrs. Amdurer had many jobs and careers, including that of “Rosey the Riveter.” What brought her most joy in work and life was the 60 years she spent on the administrative staff of Camp Monroe, NY, where she served as girls’ head counselor, and, most recently, as Camp Mother and Camp Grandmother

She was an active member of Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange and a member of Congregation Beth-El of Sunbury in Pennsylvania.

Predeceased by her husband, Hyman, she is survived by two sons, Arthur of Airmont, NY, and Leonard of New Hempstead, NY; her daughter, Joan Brabander of Danville; seven grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. 

Services were held Nov. 1 with arrangements by Schwartz Bros. Funeral Home, Queens.
