New executive director of the JCC of Central New Jersey

MICHAEL GOLDSTEIN is the new executive director of the JCC of Central New Jersey, Scotch Plains.

Goldstein joined the JCC staff 14 years ago. He held leadership roles in the JCC’s Teen Department, was director for more than nine years of Camp Yachad, and most recently served as chief operating officer.

“Mike has been an integral part of our JCC for so many years,” said Peter Weissbrod, JCC board president. “His experience overseeing the agency’s facilities and operations will serve him well as he transitions to executive director.”

Goldstein is a former professional musician with a master’s degree in musicology from Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester. He performs at the JCC and other venues. He lives in Fanwood with his wife and their two daughters.

“I want to be sure that our JCC remains an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming place for everyone in our community,” said Goldstein. “I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead our strong JCC community as we embark on our next steps.”
