Norman Beim

Norman H. Beim, 97, of Monmouth Beach died June 30, 2015.

Mr. Beim graduated from Lafayette College in 1940, earning his BA in business administration and English.

He spent his 75-year business career in beer distribution. He was a senior partner in Schwartz Crescent Distributors in Newark and its successor company, Peerless Beverage Company. During that time he served on the board of directors of the Sales Executive Club, the administration board of the Watchung Power Squadron, and as president of the New Jersey Beer Wholesalers Association.

He served for three years in the U.S. Army Air Corps, developing new air bases and weather stations and also serving as an instructor.

Predeceased by his granddaughter, Cara Marie, he is survived by his wife of 72 years, Shirley; his son, Scott (Michele); and three grandchildren.

Services were held July 2 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
