Obama’s precedent

NJJN’s editorial, “Welcoming the stranger” (June 21), fails to mention that the practice you so vehemently oppose has been in place for decades. Indeed, many of the photos that have been in the media lately were taken during the Obama administration.

Has NJJN experienced a moral epiphany or this is yet another instance of deliberately manipulating a situation in order to cast aspersions on President Trump?

Also, while criticizing the administration for using the Bible to justify their position, NJJN’s unjustified categorization of illegal aliens as “strangers” in the context of Torah law is hypocritical at best.

Lastly, in previous issues NJJN published op-ed pieces advocating taking rights away from law-abiding Americans (starting with their Second Amendment ones but ending who knows where), but this editorial advocates granting rights to non-Americans who’ve broken our immigration laws. Consequently, I have to ask, what color is the sky in your world?
